Wednesday Nature Walk :: Golden

Yesterday's nature walk was a particularly beautiful one. We seem to have finally figured out the ideal time of day to take everything in and capture the best light. Earlier we'd found a new series of trails that has given us all sorts of new areas to explore, including a forest clearing, this large open prairie area, and a fast moving portion of the river. I can't wait to get photos of the other areas to show you! My favorite finds included some really cute bean pods, an area where a deer had rubbed many of the tree trunks smooth, and an empty bird's nest which I sadly forgot to photograph. It was definitely abandoned though, so we plucked it up and I've brought it home to display.

I leave you with a little sneak peek of tomorrow's outfit post. This gorgeous skirt is actually a refashion that I'm extremely happy with so it will be fun to show you the before/after!

See you soon! <3

  1. Your photos are absolutely exquisite! You certainly have found a great time to explore. A weekly nature walk sounds like the perfect way to explore the area. My boyfriend and I usually go on a drive and listen to music at least once a week because the fields and mountains aren't quite as close by. You have a lovely blog!

    1. Wow, thank you so much!! Yes I wasn't sure that I'd feel like going out on a long hike every week, but I've really grown to look forward to it (and some weeks we go twice!!) My husband likes to go on scenic drives as well.

      Thank you for coming by! <3
